Techniques, Specialties, and Ancillary Treatments

Diversified/Manual Chiropractic Adjustment

is a procedure in which trained specialists (chiropractors) use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of this procedure, also known as spinal manipulation, is to improve spinal motion and improve your body's physical function

Cox Technique/Flexion Distraction

is a chiropractic technique used to treat many conditions of the lumbar spine (lower back). It is a non-surgical technique aimed at increasing spinal motion and improving overall function by reducing disc bulges and disc herniations.

Thompson Technique

during this method, a chiropractor provides a sudden thrust to a patient's spinal or pelvic area. As the doctor makes the thrust, the area of the patient's body being worked on is simultaneously dropped by the table, providing a gentler more effective adjustment.

Sacro-Occipital Technique - SOT Blocking

SOT “blocks” or wedges are positioned precisely under the pelvis. The patient's body weight and a gentle pressure from the chiropractor help to correct misalignments and restore proper function to the nervous system. SOT is known for safe consistent results emphasizing patient comfort.

Prenatal Adjustments

Pregnancy and Chiropractic go hand in hand. As your wonderful new addition grows, your body starts to get stress on joints from the added pressure from inside. Chiropractic Adjustments during pregnancy can really help relieve the strain of pregnancy allowing mama to enjoy the joy of bonding with her new addition to be.

Pediatric Adjustments

are an amazing way to keep children growing strong. From the moment an infant is born, there is stress on their little bodies from the birthing experience. An infant adjustment can help alleviate the stress and help them sleep better. As children learn and grow, they fall and add stress on their joints. A pediatric adjustment can do so much for the young body as it grows. Adjustments can aide in digestion, help reduce fluid in the ear, relieve stress and anxiety plus so much more.

ASSISTED THERAPIES & ORTHOTICS

Electric stimulation

works by mimicking the natural way by which the body exercises its muscles. The electrodes attached to the skin deliver impulses that make the muscles contract. It is beneficial in increasing the patient's range of motion and improves the circulation of the body. Stimulates nerves & Muscles decreasing pain and muscle spasms.

Therapeutic Ultra Sound

can provide deep heating to soft tissue structures in the body. Deep heating tendons, muscles, or ligaments can increase circulation to tissues, speed the healing process, decrease pain and increase elasticity

Soft Tissue Techniques

apply firm, direct pressure to a hypertonic muscle to help the muscle stretch and decrease pressure on the muscles. These techniques can be used on sprains, strains, bursitis, hypoxia, tendonitis, and microtrauma tears. Working the soft tissue helps keep the muscle from becoming short or weak and keeps nerves from entrapment.

Kinesiology Taping Method

is a therapeutic taping technique that alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin.  This method can reduce muscle fatigue, facilitate muscle function, reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness, enhanced healing, and improve blood flow among other benefits.

Rock Pods Myofascial Cupping

is a soft tissue therapy that involves the application of decompressed cups on the skin, creating a vacuum effect that lifts up underlying tissues such as the fascia ( connective tissue ) and muscles, blood and other fluid, close to the surface of the skin. They can help relieve pain, soreness and improve range of movement

can help manage low back pain by improving and stabilizing the position of the feet, which in turn improves every aspect of a person's gait. The medical term for this phenomenon is the kinetic chain.  Available for Patients ages 5 and up.
